I grew up across Canada as a young child and now reside on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. My mother is from Arviat, Nunavut.

I recently graduated from the University of Victoria with a major in Indigenous Studies and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Education through the University of Ottawa.

In between my studies, I have spent my summers in Iqaluit. I began my journey with IHT as a summer student in 2024 and have since been assisting with various projects, including digital assets of Nunavut collections and NIHC projects. I’m eager to continue learning Inuit Nunangat, connect with family in the north, and engage with the community/ies
